Wednesday pleaded actor "not guilty" to driving under the influence earlier this spring when she was not in court, her attorney in the plea on her behalf.
If Bynes - who was arrested April 6 for allegedly driving drunk before sideswiping a police car outside a California nightclub - could face a maximum six months in jail if convicted.
In a surprise move, reached Bynes out to President Barack Obama, 50, for help via Twitter on Tuesday. "Hey Barack Obama ... I do not drink," she wrote. "Please guys that cop who arrested me. I did not hit and run. The end."
