329 not out 25 triple ton in test history

Michael Clarke's unbeaten 329 was recorded triple century 25 of 21 batsmen in tests. This is the third time was triple hundred against India (after 333 Graham Gooch and Sanath Jayasuriya's 340).
It is the triple seven hundred in Australia - most by any team. (For the record, England has accepted the 300s - also seven)
Clarke (329 not out) became the second No. 5 to mark a 300-plus, after Don Bradman's 304 at Leeds in 1934.
It was only the third triple in Australia, after England vs 307 from Bob Cowper at MCG in 1966 and 380 vs Zimbabwe at Perth in 2003.

It is now the fifth highest score by a captain after 400 not out (Brian Lara), 374 (Mahela Jayawardene), 334 not (Mark Taylor) and 333 (Gooch).
Incidentally, recorded 15 triple centuries 1930-1998, while 10 have come since 2002.

24 triple centuries have brought eight wins and 16 draws. India has lost one (Gooch's 333) and drew the other (Jayasuriya 340).

Greater leads received from India: 490 vs WI, Calcutta, from 1958 to 1959 (missing) 486 vs. England, Birmingham, 2011 (missing) 484 vs SA, Centurion 2010-11 (lost).

l Prior to SAM: India has received 400-plus leads in six cases - and lost five, drew 1 (1997 in Colombo, where both teams batted only once!)

First time in Test history two 250-plus partnerships were numbered on the same test.

Total 659 / 4 decl. is equal to the best of Australia in the SAM (659 / 8 decl. in 1946/47 vs Eng).

Now Dravid is bowled 6 to 8 times on his last. He has now been 'bowled' 52-time in his Test career. Only Aussie Allan Border (53) has been 'bowled' in more cases!
