Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gives birth to Baby Girl

Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, in the last few hours gave birth to a healthy baby.

38-year-old former Miss World Private Seven Hills Hospital Mumbai gave birth to a daughter, hospital staff have confirmed the. Just six hours before the time of writing, her husband Abhishek Bachchan, 35, announced on Twitter:

"It's a girl!"

  After heated speculation today Bollywood's golden couple checked into the hospital.Although already a grandfather, his joy was evident on Twitter:


    "A grand father (grandfather) ... ecstatic! The cutest baby girl."

 Last week, the broadcasters agreed on a list of measures to mark the event in advance, or even "breaking news" tickers, including an agreement to run the announcement.Aishwarya Rai won the Miss World crown in 1994, and her Bollywood debut took place four years later.
